To support a thorough and efficient assessment, we kindly ask that referrals include relevant clinical information where available. This may include the reason for referral, a brief summary of the patient’s dental history, dental implant system information (if applicable) and any recent radiographs.
For referrals relating to TMD, an OPG taken within the past 12 months is recommended. Previous imaging, study models or appliance details are also welcome, where applicable.
At Newcastle Specialist Prosthodontics, we value strong relationships with referring dentists and believe clear communication is essential to good patient care. After your patient’s initial consultation, our prosthodontist will provide correspondence outlining assessment findings and recommendations, ensuring referring you are kept informed and involved in your patient’s care.
